Terms & Conditions
About these terms and our products
Last updated: September 2026
1. About us
This website is operated by Flowers by Edi, a florist business operated in Peterborough, United Kingdom.
Trading name: Flowers by Edi
Email: flowersbyedi@gmail.com
Telephone / WhatsApp: 07464 565408
Throughout these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Flowers by Edi. These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through our website and, where relevant, orders placed directly with us by telephone, WhatsApp or another agreed method. By placing an order with Flowers by Edi, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Our flowers and products
Flowers are natural and seasonal products. Individual flowers, foliage, colours and varieties may therefore differ slightly from photographs shown on our website. Images are provided as a guide to the overall style, colour palette and presentation rather than as a guarantee that every individual stem shown will be available.
Where a particular flower, foliage or decorative element is unavailable, we may substitute it with a suitable alternative of similar style, quality and value while maintaining the overall character of the arrangement as closely as possible. For Florist's Choice products, the exact flowers and foliage are selected by the florist according to seasonal availability, quality and the colour or style chosen by the customer.
3. Placing an order
When you place an order, you are responsible for ensuring that all information supplied is accurate, including your contact details; the recipient's name and delivery address; postcode and telephone details where requested; the requested delivery or collection date; and product choices, colours, sizes and personalised wording.
After placing an online order, you will receive confirmation electronically. Receipt of an automated acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that we have accepted the order. We reserve the right to contact you if there is a problem with availability, delivery, pricing or information supplied. If we are unable to accept an order, any payment already taken will be refunded.
4. Prices and payment
All prices shown are in pounds sterling (£). The total price payable will be displayed before the order is submitted. Online payments are processed securely by the payment provider made available through our website. Flowers by Edi does not receive or store customers' complete payment-card details. Optional extras or add-ons are added before payment.
5. Order notice periods
Flowers by Edi does not currently offer same-day delivery. Unless otherwise stated: standard bouquets and arrangements require at least two days notice; funeral and sympathy flowers require at least four days’ notice. Certain bespoke, large or specialist arrangements may require additional preparation time. Acceptance remains subject to flower availability and our ability to complete the arrangement by the requested date.
Delivery, collection and bespoke orders
6. Delivery
Flowers by Edi currently offers free local delivery within its designated Peterborough delivery area. Eligible locations will be shown through the website or confirmed when an order is placed.
Customers are responsible for supplying a complete and accurate delivery address. We cannot accept responsibility for a failed or delayed delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete information. We will make reasonable efforts to deliver on the agreed date, but an exact time cannot be guaranteed unless specifically agreed.
If the recipient is unavailable, we may attempt to contact the customer or recipient and, where reasonable and safe, arrange an alternative delivery, collection, safe-place delivery or delivery to a suitable neighbour. Additional charges may apply for a further attempt where the reason is outside our control; any charge will be discussed first. Severe weather, road closures, emergencies or other events outside our reasonable control may affect delivery, in which case we will contact the customer.
7. Collection
Collection is available by prior arrangement from our Peterborough location. Because Flowers by Edi operates from a private home-based premises, the full collection address may be supplied as part of the collection or order confirmation rather than displayed on the general Contact page. Customers should collect within the agreed period.
8. Bespoke orders
For bespoke bouquets or arrangements, contact us via WhatsApp on 07464 565408. We may ask about preferred colours, style, size, occasion and budget. Bespoke designs depend on seasonal availability.
9. Funeral and sympathy flowers
Customers are responsible for supplying the correct funeral date, venue, delivery time and tribute wording. We require a minimum of four days’ notice unless specifically agreed otherwise. Certain personalised tributes may be specially made to the customer's specifications.
Cancellations, problems and flower care
10. Cancellations and changes
Fresh flowers are perishable, and many arrangements are made or personalised for an individual order. Under UK consumer law, the normal 14-day cancellation right for distance purchases does not generally apply to goods liable to deteriorate rapidly or made to a customer's specifications or clearly personalised.
If you need to cancel or amend an order, contact us as soon as possible. Where preparation has not started and no special materials have been ordered, we will normally try to accommodate the request. Where flowers, specialist materials or personalised items have already been purchased or preparation has begun, a full refund may not be possible. Any amount retained will reflect reasonable costs or losses already incurred. This does not affect your statutory rights.
11. Problems with an order
If an order arrives damaged, is incorrect or does not meet the standard reasonably expected, contact us as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours, with your order details, a description and photographs where appropriate. Depending on the circumstances, an appropriate remedy may include a replacement, partial refund or full refund. Nothing limits your statutory consumer rights.
12. Flower care
Follow any care instructions provided, including maintaining fresh water and keeping arrangements away from fruits, radiators, excessive heat and direct sunlight. Flowers by Edi cannot be responsible for deterioration caused by inappropriate storage, handling or failure to follow reasonable care instructions.
Messages, website content and liability
13. Gift messages
You are responsible for ensuring any message supplied is accurate and appropriate. We reserve the right not to reproduce content that is unlawful, threatening, abusive or otherwise inappropriate.
14. Website availability and information
We aim to keep the website and product information accurate and available. Technical problems, maintenance or circumstances beyond our control may temporarily affect availability. Obvious pricing or product-information errors may be corrected; if an error affects an order already placed, we will contact you before proceeding.
15. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the Flowers by Edi name, branding, website copy, photographs and other original content may not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without permission. Third-party material remains the property of its owner.
16. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where unlawful, including liability that cannot legally be excluded under UK consumer law. We are not responsible for indirect losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the order was placed. Nothing affects your statutory rights.
Complaints, updates and governing law
17. Complaints and contact
For questions or complaints, contact Flowers by Edi at flowersbyedi@gmail.com or telephone / WhatsApp 07464 565408. We aim to resolve concerns fairly and as quickly as reasonably possible.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our business, services or legal requirements. The version published when an order is placed will normally apply.
19. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory rights available under applicable consumer law.
